Milk Makeup Oil Hydrating Stick
I’ve been interested in Milk Makeup’s products since their launch and finally decided to buy the Oil Hydrating Stick a while back. Milk Makeup is based around a high concept, low maintenance idea and all of their products are housed in unconventional, interesting packaging designed for one step application. The Oil Hydrating Stick that I bought is a perfect example because it’s an oil in solid form for easy, mess-free application. Read more for my full review!
Essentially, the Milk Makeup Oil Hydrating Stick is a face and body oil in stick form. It contains apricot, avocado, calendula, jojoba and orange peel oils, all of which are extremely moisturizing and nourishing to skin.
I’m intrigued by how the chemists of Milk Makeup formulated the stick so that it was clear. Most of the oils listed (apricot, avocado, calendula, jojoba and orange peel) are either a yellow, orange or green color and yet this Oil Hydrating Stick is completely clear. It’s quite a mystery to me.
Usage wise, the Milk Makeup Oil Hydrating Stick is easy to apply and mess-free, unlike with normal oils where you have to worry about the liquid spilling. It’s really lightweight so it absorbs into the skin surprisingly quickly. I mainly use the stick in two ways. I use it on my face, after I finish all of my makeup application, to give my skin some dewiness and glow. I also use it on my body after I shower because it’s a quick and simple way to moisturize. I have pretty bad eczema on my body and this oil is really good at moisturizing without not irritating my skin.
Ever since the launch of Milk Makeup, I’ve been intrigued but intimidated by their concept. Some of their products sounded cool but were out of my comfort zone, like the Black Eye Vinyl (like black gloss for the eyelids) or the Spray On Nail Polish. I’ll admit I bought the Oil Hydrating Stick mainly out of curiosity but was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.
I love that all the products from Milk Makeup are paraben-free, eco-conscious and multi-use. Since I loved the Oil Hydrating Stick, I have a couple of other products on my list that I want to try – the Holographic Stick (Milk Makeup’s version of a highlighter), the Cooling Water and the Sunshine Oil. They all sound very unique and interesting and are on the top of my wishlist.
