This is my all time favorite eyeliner in terms of color. Since college, I’ve never worn just black eyeliner. I prefer purple or plum because it brings out brown eyes more and this is such a rich, deep purple hue. It’s described as a pearly eggplant shimmer and there is a lot of depth to it. The only con I have is that I’m just not a fan of eyeliners that you have to manually sharpen. Since I prefer the ones that twist up on their own, I’m currently using Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Plum(Age). I’m not as big on the color but it’s easier to use because no sharpening needed.
I can’t say enough good things about this product and even included it in my 2017 top 10 favorite beauty products list. It helps keep my acne at bay, has decent coverage and gives skin a nice glow. It’s a different formula than what you might be used to. It is very liquidy but super easy to apply, I just use my hands. Already on my third bottle of this! It’s a holy grail for sure.
For special occasions and events when I need fuller coverage, I use the Vanish Foundation Stick from Hourglass. It has such good coverage and goes on like silk. Also has a really nice satin finish so the skin doesn’t look too shiny or too matte.
So…I bought this years ago before I knew the difference between a setting powder and powder foundation. I used to use this as a setting powder!! Shameful, I know. Now I use Glossier Wowder (review here) so not much use for this product anymore.
I go through Boy Brows like crazy. This is probably my fourth or fifth tube and I seriously can’t live without it. For extra volume, I first do a layer of Boy Brow in Clear as a primer. Then, after that layer has dried, I’ll follow with Boy Brow in Black. Love how it makes the brows fluffy and full.
My brow wiz always breaks at the spoolie end. And it’s not just me, it has happened to so many people! So many people commented on my Instagram post about how the same thing happened to them. Crazy how this is such a common issue but it hasn’t been resolved yet. The Smashbox Brow Tech Gloss Stick was interesting, but I prefer my brow pencils to be more matte. My current favorite brow pencil is the one from Hourglass, which made it onto my 2017 top 10 favorite beauty products list.
I’ve discovered in the past year or so that I love pinky nudes. I think the color is so universally flattering! This is my go-to lip liner and I love that it auto-sharpens so there’s no need to do it yourself.
The first highlighter I’ve ever owned! I received it as a deluxe sample from Sephora a few years ago. Perfect for the corners of the eyes, under the eyebrow and on the cupid’s bow.
