One of my favorite things to do before school started would be to pick up new beauty products for the upcoming semester. As the weather changes and starts to get colder, my hair and skin get drier. As a result, I have to transition out some of my summer products for ones that are a bit more hydrating. I’m thrilled to be partnering with Garnier this back to school season to highlight some of my favorite fall hair and skin essentials!
I have pretty thin hair so it gets super staticky and frizzy during the colder months. I get flyways like crazy and it’s just not a fun time. For instances like this, I reach for the Garnier Sleek and Shine Shampoo + Conditioner to help manage my hair. It contains fairly and sustainably sourced argan oil from Morocco, citrus protein, Vitamins B3 + B6 and fruit extracts. Argan oil is one of my all time favorite hair ingredients because it smooths the look of split ends and adds some extra hydration. I follow with the Smooth Blow Dry Anti-Frizz Cream, which works like a dream. You only need a quarter sized amount to see results and my hair always looks so shiny and smooth afterwards. (As an added plus, everything is under $5! Super affordable.)
Besides just the standard shampoo + conditioner steps, one of my favorite haircare steps I like to do once a week is a hair mask. All my friends know that I’m obsessed with face masking so of course I love hair masks as well!! The Smoothing Treat with Avocado Extract from Garnier is an intensely nourishing mask that smooths frizzy hair in just one minute. The best part is that it has no silicones, no parabens and no artificial colorants. It smells *incredible* and makes my hair feel so soft afterwards. I seriously can’t stop touching my hair after I use the mask.
Skin wise, I’m a big fan of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as the first step to remove my makeup. Because it contains no oil, alcohol, fragrance or parabens, it’s perfect for people like me who have sensitive skin. I can see why it’s a cult favorite because it’s such a gentle way to cleanse the skin. This is definitely a miracle worker for those late nights spent studying when you just want a quick and easy way to take off your makeup before bed. Another late night study trick I used to do is to use a face mist every thirty minutes or so as a nice refresher. The Garnier Soothing Facial Mist with Rose Water is perfect for those moments when you need a little wake-me-up because it gives your skin a boost of hydration. (P.S. One of the big reasons why I’m so excited to partner with Garnier on this post is their commitment to Taking Care. As a company, they are working to improve the business of beauty in more sustainable ways by being environmentally responsible and having eco-friendlier packaging. They partner with organizations like TerraCycle, DoSomething and Unicef to protect the planet and help millions of women look good, feel good and beauty responsibly.
