The newest member of the Glossier product lineup is sweet and shimmery! Meet the Birthday Balm Dotcom, a collaboration with Milk Bar that turned their famous birthday cake into balm form. Read more for my detailed Glossier Birthday Balm Dotcom review + swatches!
It’s still the same hydrating multipurpose skin salve that we all love. It’s perfect for use on lips, cuticles, cheekbones for a subtle highlight or even on eyelids for a dewy look. There are honestly so many options.
Ingredient highlights include castor seed oil and beeswax which lock in moisture as well as rice bran and rosemary leaf extracts, two antioxidants that combat free-radical skin damage.
The first time I tried the birthday cake from Milk Bar I fell in love. It actually took Chef Christina Tosi and the Milk Bar team more than three years (!) to perfect the birthday cake vanilla flavor. It’s a mouthwatering rainbow cake layered with rainbow cake crumbs, topped with vanilla frosting. The Birthday Balm Dotcom smells exactly how the cake tastes!
The Birthday Balm Dotcom doesn’t have sprinkles but it does have a very subtle holographic shimmer in the formula. As you can see in the pictures, it’s not extremely obvious but leaves a nice dewy finish. It’s kind of a lit from within kind of glow.
I believe that every Glossier Birthday Balm Dotcom order also comes with a limited edition holographic Glossier x Milkbar sticker as well as a fun birthday cake postcard. I’ve become somewhat of a Glossier sticker collector/hoarder over the years. I think I have almost every sticker they’ve ever released! As always, every Glossier order comes in the signature #glossierpink pouch.
