I’ve been looking to get more into the natural skincare products and one of the products I was looking for was a natural cleanser. I received a sample of the Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser when I visited the Credo Beauty store in NYC and loved it. It smells amazing, just like fresh strawberries. The Stell recently started carrying some of Indie Lee’s products so I was excited to place an order. I ended up getting the Rosehip Cleanser instead of the Brightening Cleanser I previously tried because the Rosehip one is better for sensitive skin. Read more for my full review!
What it is:
The Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser is a gentle face cleanser and eye makeup remover that soothes skin. It can even be used to clean makeup brushes.
Ingredient Benefits:
The Rosehip Cleanser contains only 6 all-natural ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Olivate (Fatty Acid from Olive), Glycerin, Rosa Rubiginosa Seed Oil, Chondrus Crispus, and Eriobotrya Japonica Extract.
Osa Rubiginosa Seed Oil, more commonly called Rosehip Seed oil, is full of essential fatty acids that correct dark spots and hydrate skin. Chondrus Crispus is commonly called Irish moss and is a red algae rich in antioxidants. Eriobotra Japonica is an evergreen tree that products loquat, the fruit, also rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Glycerin is a gentle vegetable based hydrator that restores moisture to the skin. Overall, the ingredients are high in antioxidants and Vitamins A, E and K and lack of harsh synthetic ingredients is perfect for people with sensitive skin. The ingredients work together to preserve moisture and treat redness.
Thoughts:
The Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser is seriously one of the most gentle cleansers I’ve used. The texture reminds me a lot of the Fresh Soy Cleanser but I like the Indie Lee one better because it has more natural ingredients. For its gentleness, it is surprisingly effective at cleansing my skin. Although it does remove most of my makeup, it doesn’t remove my waterproof eyeliner (Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – seriously this eyeliner never smudges and stays on forever, it’s amazing) so I double wash, first with an oil cleanser and then with a regular one. The oil cleanser I use is from Clinique and it’s my favorite out of all the ones I’ve tested.
