The first empties post of 2018! Many more to come, as it is one of my resolutions to finish more of the products I use. Read more for my thoughts on all of these and which ones I liked enough to repurchase.

Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes Dark Circle Radiance Complex

WINTER HYDRATION

To be honest, I really liked all of the products in this post. This winter has been quite brutal on my skin so I’ve been reaching for a lot of intensely hydrating products. The Belif Hungarian Water Essence and Bobbi Brown Remedies Intense Rehydration Complex were both very soothing on the skin. Both are perfect after your toner but before your moisturizer. I like to use them in the mornings because I felt like they made my skin more plumped and dewy. If you don’t mind fragrance, I would say go with the Belif. If you prefer your products to be fragrance free, the Bobbi Brown Intense Rehydration Complex is a good pick.

I had a hard time finding a night cream that didn’t break me out but the Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich checked all the buckets. It somehow has the perfect texture that is just thick enough to be luxuriously moisturizing but not overly oily or greasy. It’s my best friend Karen’s favorite night cream as well! We were talking about it today and she loves how luxurious it feels but how affordable it actually is. It is my favorite winter face cream. I’ve already ordered a replacement!

SKIN HEALTH

I’m already on my second bottle of the Tatcha Radiant Deep Brightening Serum. Whenever someone asks for a recommendation to treat dark spots, I recommend this. Although it’s quite pricey, it is gentle and effective.

Another serum/facial oil I love is the Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil. I can’t say enough good things about it. It made it onto my Top 10 Favorite Products of 2017, which is a big deal, considering the sheer amount of products I try in the course of the year.

GREEN BEAUTY

My boyfriend and I both love the Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash, I wrote about it here. Smells great, works well. I used it with my Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush! Major heart eyes over the Grown Alchemist Vanilla & Orange Peel Hand Cream packaging. I wrote a dedicated review that you can find here. Smells amazing.

EYE CREAMS

Last on the list is eye creams. I didn’t used to be into eye creams before but now I’m trying to be more proactive when it comes to skin aging. Hydration is key so I use an eye cream every morning and every evening. The Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes Dark Circle Radiance Complex has a great lightweight texture that I liked to use in the mornings. It absorbed quickly into my skin and played well with my makeup. The Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging Eye Cream is a bit thicker in texture so I preferred to use it at night. The only negative I had about the Paula’s Choice is that the oil kind of separated so sometimes when I squeezed the tube the cream and oil would come out separated.

Love reading about empties as much as I do? You can find the other posts here.
