Tatcha Gold Camellia Nourishing Lip Balm
I’ve been on a lip balm kick lately, as you can probably tell from some of my posts. This one from Tatcha caught my eye because it has a layer of 24-karat gold leaf on the top. I received it as a gift with purchase after a $150 Tatcha order. Gold infused products have been trending lately. Even Kylie Jenner’s company released beauty products made with real gold in the Kylie Cosmetics birthday collection. Read more for a full review and my thoughts on the Tatcha Gold Camellia Lip Balm!
How cute is the packaging! I love that the lip balm slides out of the box. Tatcha’s packaging has always been exceptional and the company’s attention to detail in everything, not only just the product, is why Tatcha’s one of my favorite beauty brands.
The lip balm itself is intensely hydrating. I like that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy. The gold leaf crushes upon application but isn’t really noticeable when on the lips – I feel like the gold is more for show, but it’s a nice touch.
The Tatcha gold camellia lip balm contains both camellia oil and squalane. Camellia oil promotes skin elasticity and the regeneration of skin cells. Similarly, squalane promotes cell growth and prevents UV damage. It’s also free of mineral oil and synthetic fragrances, which is a plus.
This product by Tatcha is described as a lip balm but I’ve been using this as just a normal balm and it’s been amazing. It is extremely effective at healing cuts. I’ve struggled with eczema basically my entire life and this balm has been a miracle worker at healing some of the cuts I’ve gotten from scratching. A little goes a long way.
The Tatcha gold camellia lip balm is $36 so it’s pretty pricey for a lip product. However, I think it’s a fun splurge if you want to treat yourself. It also makes a great present for others because it has such nice packaging and presentation.
Where to purchase Tatcha Gold Camellia Nourishing Lip Balm: $36/0.28 oz. at Sephora or Tatcha (free shipping!)
