A few weeks ago, I placed my first order from the May Lindstrom website. I always appreciate a thoughtful unboxing experience but May blew it out of the water with a handwritten note, special treats and more. Read more for my full unboxing and a look at the May Lindstrom samples, Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm Concentrate and new Dandelion Wand.
I’m obsessed with the packaging everything came in. Black and gold, very elegant.
I ordered the May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm Concentrate. I’ll admit, it took me a while to figure out how to use the Blue Cocoon so that it works with my skin. I actually didn’t love it the first few times I tried it but after I started pairing it with a mist, it absorbed into my skin more easily and now I love it!
Currently, May Lindstrom Skin is running a gift with purchase where you receive the new, not-yet-released Dandelion Wand with the purchase of The Blue Cocoon. It’s made out of solid brass cocooned in 22k gold and is the perfect scoop to dispense the products hygienically.
I’ve noticed more and more brands starting to release scooping spoons with their jar products (Tatcha, Tata Harper, LXMI, etc.) and I appreciate the gesture. Definitely helps with application.
Every order also comes with special May Lindstrom samples. I received a mini Blue Cocoon, a taste of the Honey Mud Mask and The Youth Dew Serum. The Honey Mud is such an interesting texture, definitely something I’m excited to test out soon!
In total, these were all the special treats that were included with my order of The Blue Cocoon: the Dandelion Wand, a Blue Cocoon sample, a Honey Mud sample and a Youth Dew sample plus a handwritten note and a booklet with information on the entire collection.
This was one of the most luxurious unboxing experiences I’ve had so far so I thought it was worthy of documentation! What other brands do you think have experiences that exceed expectations?
