I’m really good about applying sunscreen every single morning but terrible at reapplying it throughout the day. Face sunscreen is such a pain to reapply when I’m wearing makeup because you can’t just put it on over your foundation. It ends up getting all streaky and pills and is just a huge mess. I’m not going to lie, reapplying sunscreen while wearing makeup has been one of the biggest sunscreen pain points for me and has resulted in me unfortunately getting sunburnt quite a few times. I’m happy to say that I’ve recently discovered a solution for this, through a few genius sunscreen products from Supergoop! When they reached out to partner for this post, I was ecstatic because their products have genuinely solved my sunscreen reapplication problem. So how do you actually reapply sunscreen while wearing makeup without having to take all of your makeup off first?!? Read more to find out:
Supergoop! Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45
Sunscreen in powder form!! This acts like a face powder so you can apply it with the included brush over your current makeup. Its 100% mineral sweat resistant formula not only gives you an extra dose of sun protection but also reduces shine.
The packaging is great for on-the-go and conveniently fits in your purse, makeup or gym bag. Another plus is that it is refillable and has a removable brush for easy cleaning. I love it when brands are thoughtful about their packaging!
Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50
For those of you who don’t love powders, another option is a spray! You can reapply your sunscreen by misting it on over your makeup.
The good thing about this is that it also helps control oil and shine and doesn’t have a greasy finish like other sunscreen sprays. It’s perfect to throw into a tote and take to the beach. Super refreshing on a hot, sunny day.
Supergoop! 100% Mineral Sunscreen Mist SPF 30
I thought I’d throw in a good body sunscreen into this post as well, since we’re on the topic of reapplying sun protection. I personally prefer sunscreen in spray form for the body because I think it’s easier and faster to apply. This is a mineral sunscreen (rather than chemical) so it’s good to wear to the beach without damaging the coral reefs. I’ve tried quite a variety of mineral based body sunscreens and found that they were all really thick and hard to apply and gave your skin a white tint. This one sprays evenly, isn’t overly greasy and absorbs easily into the skin so if you’re in the market for a mineral body sunscreen, this would be my rec.
