I don’t know about you all, but it feels like I keep accumulating more and more lip products?!? I rarely ever finish lipsticks or lip glosses because they honestly last forever. I thought I would do a post compiling some of my favorite products at the moment. Read more for my thoughts on why I chose these picks!
Fresh gives out these mini lip treatments for free on your birthday! You can read my post on how to get the present here. Anyways, the Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment made my list of current favorites because it is both hydrating andperfectly tinted. The shade is really light but flattering on everyone. It is rich in vitamins A, C and E as well as sugar, black currant oil and grapeseed polyphenols. The fatty acids plump skin and moisturize the lips, which has been a true savior in this dry, winter weather.
Next on the list is the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in Le Rouge. It is basically the perfect classic red lip. It’s really pigmented with a satin finish that’s not too glossy and not too matte. It’s described on Sephora as a “blood red” which I think is very accurate. Plus, the packaging is beautiful, which is always a plus.
Glossier released this lip gloss as part of the limited edition Black Tie Set for holiday 2016. I’ve never really been a gloss person but recently I have been loving all things glossy?? It has such an amazing shiny, glassy finish that isn’t overly sticky.
My all time favorite lipstick so far is Tom Ford Lips & Boys in Joaquin. Joaquin is a berry red shade with a soft shimmer. It’s semi-sheer but very creamy and easy to apply on the lips. The Lips & Boys Collection is one of my favorite lipstick collections (and finally carried about Sephora!) and I love that they are all in a mini size. I adore smaller sized lipsticks because I can never finish normal sizes.
I went through a phase where I was obsessed with Kylie Cosmetics so now I have honestly a shelf full of products. Out of all of them, the Candy K Gloss would have to be one of my favorites. It is described as a warm pinky nude. The formula isn’t too drying on the lips and the pigmentation is A+. I hated how the matte Candy K lip kit looked on me but I think the gloss version is so flattering! It is a shade that looks good on basically everyone.
I’m a sucker for good packaging so…I have two Tom Ford lip products on my list. The Tom Ford Rose Soleil Lip Sheer looks like a deep red berry shade but goes on the lips much lighter. It gives lips a rose gold like shimmer, making the overall face seem warmer, kind of sun-kissed. It’s also super hydrating and has vitamins C + E and shea butter, which is always a plus. Lipsticks can often be very drying so I like when they do double duty and also provide moisture in addition to color to the lips.
Last but definitely not least on my list is the Glossier Generation G lipstick in Jam, but I also love Crush. I am obsessed with these and use they every single day. I have multiples of both shades to keep at home and in my bag. The picture shown is of the original Gen G with the old packaging and formula but the new reformulated and repackaged Gen G is even better! The formula is more hydrating than the last and the packaging is sturdier. Definitely a win in my book.
So yup, these are some of my lip product favorites at the moment. I’ve been inspired by Joelle to try to use a different lip product every single day, since I have so many that I never end up using. In March, I will be trying to use a different color every day. We shall see how it goes!
