I’ve been really into candles lately! I’m slowly compiling a collection of the best scented candles. My friend Arlina and I have also been making our own hand poured soy wax candles as well. I’ll make a blog post about that soon! In the meantime, read more for the current candles I have in rotation. 1. Byredo Burning Rose CandleI received this super cute mini candle as a gift with purchase at Byredo’s 10th anniversary party. (Blog post about it here!) It’s described as a dark, uniquely romantic fragrance and is housed in a mouth-blown glass vessel, which I think is pretty cool. It has top notes of rose petals, middle notes of leather and violet and base notes of birch tree and ebony woods. It’s one of the most unique scents in my collection!
2. Sunday Blooms Roses Candle
Can you tell that I love rose scents?!? This rose scent from Sunday Blooms is a summery floral scent with a dash of pink peppercorns. It’s infused with roses and geranium and has base notes of amber and sandalwood. It came in the most beautiful packaging. Taking it out of its box felt like unwrapping a present.
3. Le Labo Santal 26 CandleI received this recently as a gift from Glossier! Glossier reps get monthly rewards if you hit a certain number of orders and this was the reward for the month of March. (Thank you to anyone who has a placed an order using my rep link, I sincerely appreciate the support!!) All the Le Labo candles are personalized with your name on them, which is a nice touch. Fun fact, this is the gift that Glossier employees get on their one year anniversary! Le Labo candles are made with soy wax and hand poured in Mississippi. This one has notes of amber, coco, vanilla, cedar, spices, musk, sandalwood. It’s quite an unconventional mix of scents but it works and is for sure one of the best scented candles. The fragrance is super dreamy and envelops the entire room.
4. Lollia Stacks of Pretty Paper Candle
This scent created by Margot Elena has such a cute name! It has top notes of white lily and jasmine, middle notes of white tea, geranium, rice flower and paper pulp, and bottom notes of amber and sheer musk all encased in a soy wax blend. The box it comes in is so nice. I use it to store little handwritten notes that I receive. This has been my go-to candle to light for relaxing evenings.
5. Diptyque Roses Candle
In terms of rose scents, this one from Diptyque is the classic. It smells just like a freshly picked bouquet of roses. This was actually the first candle in my candle collection!
In my opinion, these are some of the best scented candles! I love how candles can just completely change a room and fill it with warmth and fragrance. Another thing I’m really excited about is to repurpose my empty candle vessels when the time comes. I love empties and candle empties are no exception!
