I know I’ve said this before, but I love finishing beauty products. I don’t know what it is, but empties just give me a feeling of satisfaction (You can view my empties posts here). Although, there are some beauty products that I’ve just never been able to finish. On that list is lipstick. Until now! I finished my first lipstick a couple of weeks ago, the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural No. 9. Granted, it was a mini size but it still counts!

I got this mini one as a gift with purchase from Sephora. I love the mini products retailers give out with purchases. Sometimes, I purchase things just to get the gift with purchase. What a great marketing strategy.

Anyways, this is one of my favorite lipstick shades. It’s subtle and universally flattering. I usually apply this, spread the color over my lips with my hands or my MUFE lip brush and blot the excess onto a tissue to get that matte finish.

I’ve recently started paying more attention to expiration dates after realizing how many chemicals are in our products and how bad they are for your body. Lipstick has a shelf-life of 2 years, if that. Since it’s nearly impossible to finish a lipstick in that length of time, I now exclusively only buy mini-sized lipsticks. I’m actually accumulating quite a collection. I love them! They’re so cute and easy to throw into any makeup bag.
