I don’t know about you, but I love finishing beauty products. Ever since Eva Chen started posting pictures of her skincare and makeup empties, I’ve been obsessed with empties posts. Here are the products I’ve finished recently and my thoughts on them:
First up are two new to me products, the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser and the Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. I liked both but in all honesty still prefer Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. I also finished the mini version of Dr. Jart’s Micro Water, which I enjoyed. Super easy to put some onto a cotton pad and use on the face to get the leftover makeup residue off.
I finished the Tatcha Classic Rice Enzyme Powder and the Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash and I loved both. The Tatcha one is the perfect gentle exfoliant and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I liked using the Origins Checks and Balances because it feels like a soft marshmallow cloud on my face. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the scent.
I tested out and finished a couple different face creams and lotions. My skin is usually combination oily but over the winter, my skin was pretty dry. I used Clinique Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer with the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask and both were so good at restoring moisture back to my skin. I also picked up the Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream because I suffer from eczema and the product’s formulation is great for soothing + calming irritated skin. Last but not least, I finished the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist which I like to spritz whenever I’m in need of a pick-me-up for dewy skin.
These are just a few of the products I’ve finished so far. I have a ton more empties that I haven’t gotten around to making posts for so expect more of these posts in the future! I made a hashtag on Instagram to document all of my empties, you can find it at #COVempties.
