The Jade Roller by Mount Lai

I launched Mount Lai in November of 2017. Mount Lai is a beauty wellness company and our first product is the jade roller! It’s an ancient Chinese skincare tool that my grandmother has been using for over 50 years.

I get asked quite often about jade rolling benefits. Basically, it’s kind of like a massage for the face. It reduces face puffiness and inflammation, improves blood circulation, relieves facial tension and helps with lymph drainage. It’s a 60 second daily self-care ritual for both healthy skin and peaceful mind.

This is a cult favorite and for good reason. It was on my 2016 favorites list and it is back again on this list because it is a can’t-live-without-product!!! I can’t even name how many people I have converted into becoming Boy Brow users and lovers. It gives your brows more fluffiness and definition in an effortless sort of way. I use it every single day.

Glossier Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in Leo + Crush

Glossier Gen G in Crush is the other 2016 favorite that made its way back onto the list. You might have noticed that the current packaging looks different than in 2016 and that is because Glossier updated it to be more durable. My new favorite combination is layering Leo and Crush. The best combo. During my trip to Miami, my friends Karen and Tiff tried the combo and ended up liking it so much they bought the combo for themselves.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey

In July, I started my first full-time job doing e-commerce at Clinique. My manager gave me this lipstick during my first day on the job and I can tell why everyone loves it. It looks really dark in the tube but goes on semi-sheer and is legit flattering on everyone. I keep this on my desk for quick touch-ups after lunch or before a meeting. If I could only have one lipstick, it would be this one. It is perfect for every day and any occasion.

Clinique Acne Solutions BB Cream in Light Medium

I switched to this BB cream because it was specifically formulated for acne prone skin. I was worried that the other face makeup I was using was making me break out. I’m on my second bottle of this and I really like it. The finish is natural and dewy without being cakey.

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

I’ve been using this for more than four months and I’ve seen a huge difference in my skin. I was nervous at first because my skin is really sensitive but it’s gentle enough to use every day. The device cleans my skin more thoroughly than just hands and I’ve noticed that I’ve had less breakouts. I really do think that having thoroughly cleansed skin is the first step to treating acne.

Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil

This is another product I’ve introduced into my skincare routine that has helped with my acne. I use it right after my toner, under my moisturizer. I use it every night and it has made a difference in keeping my skin clear.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil

I was first introduced to this product by Chanel, the makeup artist for Hourglass, when I went to do my Instagram takeover for @hourglasscosmetics. It makes doing my eyebrows much faster and easier plus I love the brush that the pencil comes with. So good.

Paula’s Choice Daily Skin Clearing Treatment

Last but not least is this magical acne treatment from Paula’s Choice. It is the only benzyl peroxide acne treatment that doesn’t make my skin super red and inflamed. It’s seriously also the most effective treatment I’ve ever experienced, even better than some of my prescription acne medicine I’ve used in the past. I plan on doing a full detailed review on this because it’s become a holy grail product for me.
