I recently received the Hourglass VoxBox from Influenster to test out! Hourglass is one of my favorite makeup brands so I was so excited to try their newest product release, the Vanish Foundation Stick + Brush. To find out how to get free products from Influenster for yourself, you can read my guide here! Read more for my unboxing and thoughts on the products.
The box came with a Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick in Nude and a Hourglass Vanish Foundation Brush.
This foundation stick is described as having the coverage of a concealer, fluidity of a liquid and weightlessness of a powder for long-wearing, invisible full coverage. The brush was made specifically to be used with the foundation stick for perfect application.
What I found really interesting about this foundation stick is that it has double the amount of pigment than traditional foundations. This is what makes kind of a dual foundation and concealer.
The formula is also made to adjust to your body temperature so it blends into the skin. Ten minutes after I apply the foundation, I’ll notice that it’s much more settled into my skin and natural looking. I also like that it’s in a triangular bullet shape because it allows for more precise application.
While I did find the formula to be extremely creamy, if you have any dry skin or flakey skin, this foundation will accentuate that. I’ll wear this foundation on days when I’m looking for heavier coverage and I will make sure to use my Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder to wash and gently exfoliate my face so that my skin is super smooth for the foundation. I first use the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (which I swear by and have raved about in the past – it’s the best for combination/oily skin!) and then apply the foundation with the brush.
