1. Paradis Basics Mango Lip Balm
2. Paradis Basics Peppermint Lip Balm
Lip balm is a basic beauty product that is surprisingly overlooked. I used to always just buy whatever was at the check out counter at stores and throw them in my bag and just end up losing them all the time. Lately I have been trying to avoid using synthetic ingredients in my lip products because it always ends up getting into my mouth and I’d rather swallow safe ingredients. I was really excited when Paradis sent over some of their natural lip balms for me to test out and review. They’re seriously some of the prettiest lip balms I’ve seen! Look at how beautifully the box is packaged! I love when companies are thoughtful with not only product design but also their overall packaging.
Paradis describes itself as a design studio rather than a beauty company and is inspired by the earth and artists. The company creates products that are formulated with good science and finished in great design to create well designed everyday basics. I love that the lip balms look like little tubes of paint.
Some stand out ingredients for me in the lip balms are the oils (castor seed, coconut, sunflower, sweet almond) which are full of antioxidants and vitamins that promote cell regeneration and lock in moisture. The balms also include Ylang ylang and juniper berry oil which work to reduce inflammation and increase circulation.
I never used to use lip balm consistently in the past but now I put it on every single day before I sleep as the final step in my nighttime routine. The lip balms are extremely moisturizing and I wake up in the morning with hydrated lips. Using a lip balm every night is a good way to prevent chapped lips during the cold winter months.
