2020 has been a challenging year and my skincare routine has been something that’s been so grounding in the midst of all the stress and uncertainty. I truly believe that skincare is a form of self-care and I’m grateful it’s become a part of my morning and evening rituals. It was so hard to narrow these down but here are my favorite skincare products of 2020:
Of course I had to include these two gua sha tools. The Acupressure Gua Sha Spoon has truly been a lifesaver as it was designed to melt tension and this year definitely had a lot of that. I keep it next to me at my desk and it helps so much with eye strain and jaw tension and and all of that. After I use it on acupressure points, my face feels so much lighter and more relaxed.
I love how the Gua Sha Facial Lifting Tool helps support lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness and encourage blood flow to the skin. I’m all about holistic wellness and gua sha helps improve skin health at its core

We *finally* launched Mount Lai skincare this year with Calming Herbal Repair in May. It’s been something that has been in the works since I first started the company so it has been so exciting to finally have that out in the world. I have gone through probably six jars by now this since we launched and it is truly my favorite thing in the world. I love to cocktail it with serums and moisturizers.
With that in mind, these are two of my favorite serums to mix with the Mount Lai Calming Herbal Repair Balm. I love to add a few drops of the serum into the balm, melt it in my hands and massage it into the face. It preps the skin amazingly well for gua sha.
This is a product that I have gone through multiple bottles of. It has a really fun texture and a nice scent. Like the name suggests, it is gentle on the skin while still being an effective cleanser. They have a really cute travel version that I always take with me whenever I’m on the go.
My holy grail. I’ve been using this for years now because it is so amazing for keeping pimples, especially painful cystic pimples or blind pimples, in line.
This is an amazing serum for people with sensitive skin who struggle with other retinol products. Retinol is one of my favorite skincare ingredients because of its multitude of benefits and this serum does wonders for the skin. I use it a few times a week in the evenings and it is a consistent part of my routine.
// StriVectin Intensive Eye Concentrate
StriVectin is a brand that I just discovered this year but wish I knew about sooner! I absolutely love their eye concentrate. It is super hydrating and has a great texture. I’ve had weird lines underneath my eyes and this cream has helped with that. I’m also quite prone to milia from eye creams and have had no issues with this one.
This is another product that has been on my favorites list for years. I’ve gone through so many bottles! It makes your skin feel so good after you use it. Devan and I even filmed a video together with Caudalie where I introduced him to the mist, it’s hilarious, haha.
I’m on my third or fourth jar of this cream. It has an amazing texture that reminds me of marshmallow fluff. I wake up with the softest skin from this cream.
This is another one of my favorites that I’ve also gone through probably three jars of. Calendula is one of my favorite ingredients and this moisturizer is amazing for winter as it is very nourishing and soothing.
By now, you know of my love for double cleansing. This cleansing balm has the most beautiful color, scent and texture. It removes makeup really well. I love pairing this with my gua sha tool in the evenings.
I grew up seeing this serum in my bathroom medicine cabinet. It truly makes your skin radiant and glowing. You’ll definitely see results, especially with this new and improved formula.
This is a recent launch but the first time I tried this lip balm, I immediately fell in love. It is incredibly moisturizing, especially during this dry winter. I love the packaging also, super cute and fancy!
It was so hard to narrow everything down to just 15 skincare selections and there were so many other products I wanted to include on this list. I’ll also be doing a roundup of my favorite makeup products of 2020 as well as my favorite body care & hair care products. What products have you been loving this year?
